Practically two months soon after the Delhi Police solved the theft case of a jewellery consignment value Rs 4-6 crore and nabbed 4 guys associated in the criminal offense, the proprietor of the courier corporation who was dealing with the consignment has moved courtroom alleging a senior officer is not releasing the recovered things.
On August 31, two courier firm executives have been waylaid in Central Delhi’s Paharganj by four miscreants who threw chilli powder into their eyes and decamped with their consignment. The complainants were carrying two luggage and a box loaded with diamond, gold and silver jewellery. Police experienced said the accused posed as policemen and stopped them on the pretext of frisking them. Virtually 24 several hours soon after the incident, law enforcement caught the accused from Jaipur.
In September, the complainant approached police to launch the recovered goods, and the exact was permitted, but he alleged the officer refused to do so. The complainant moved courtroom.

Senior officers and workers were being only hoping to get the entrepreneurs and return the things following the Suggestion method. Having said that, we do recognize that there are 100 owners. We have approached our lawful advisor considering the fact that the products are of higher price. We will submit a revision before the court docket. If they concur, we will get in touch with the owners and get their consent prior to releasing items. If not, we will stick to what the court suggests.”
Deepak Singh Thakur, the complainant’s advocate, alleged: “… The content are really worth Rs 6 crore. There are far more than 1,000 items. How can Idea be performed on all of them?… We approached court in September and on Friday… We are now waiting for their (police) reply to our most up-to-date software. My shopper doesn’t personal the jewellery. He’s only a courier… there are all around 100-110 purchasers/ entrepreneurs who are waiting for their consignment…”
