Jan 07, Colombo: The Premier Version of Facets Sri Lanka, the flagship occasion of the Sri Lanka Gem and Jewelry Association, kicked off this morning at the Cinnamon Grand Hotel premises in Colombo under the patronage of Minister of Plantation Industries and Industries, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana.


Speaking at the opening, Minister of Plantation Industries and Industries, Dr. Ramesh Pathirana thanksed all those people who have guarded the gems and jewelry field as an field for the duration of the difficult situations of the world wide Covid epidemic and the subsequent financial disaster in the state.


“We must thank the Sri Lanka Gems and Jewelry Affiliation (SLGJA) for organizing this exhibition immediately after a few yrs of silence to explain to the planet that our country is completely ready to encounter the economic issues and open up for small business once again,” Minister Pathirana stated.

The Minister elaborated that amid the future plans of the Ministry of Business, strategies are afoot to choose the gem and jewellery business in Sri Lanka to an export revenue concentrate on of 1 billion bucks in 2023, for that goal, to make all engineering usages as perfectly as worth addition strategies far more efficient and successful for the advertising of the industry, and to supply the essential amenities by the governing administration.

Sri Lanka Gems and Jewellery Association (SLGJA) alongside one another with Nationwide Gems and Jewellery Authority and Sri Lanka Export Growth Board has arranged this Sides Sri Lanka exhibition for the thirtieth time.

Showcasing the greatest of the gem and jewellery business of Sri Lanka, Sides Sri Lanka 2023 – The Leading Version will be open from the 7th to 9th January 2023 At Cinnamon Grand Colombo, Sri Lanka.


Far more than 100 consumers from 20 countries will be collaborating in this Aspects Sri Lanka Leading Version exhibition. In addition several additional purchasers from home and abroad will also be participating.

“Through this exhibition, a good export trading platform will be produced for the gem and jewelry businessmen of Sri Lanka along with the name we have attained for sapphire and other gems in the world in the heritage of our gem marketplace which spans about 2500 many years,” the Minister noted.

Fowzie, former Minister MP Vajira Abeywardena, overseas ambassadors, Secretary of the Ministry of Business Thilaka Jayasundara, More Secretaries, Chairman of Gems and Jewellery Authority, Chairman of Export Growth Board, Chairman of Sri Lanka Industrial Growth Board and other government officials, President of SLGJA Ajward Dean, the Chairman of Aspects Sri Lanka Altaf Iqbal, and many neighborhood and overseas dignitaries attended this celebration.
