Krigler Good Fir
The ultimate cozy winter scent, Good Fir evokes an evening curled up by the fireplace after a day of hitting the snowy slopes. Krigler founder Albert Krigler was inspired to create the fresh, woody perfume after he was mesmerized by the natural beauty of pines dotting the peaks of Colorado on a journey from Chicago to San Francisco in 1910. He brought that memory to life with vetiver, musk, moss and pine needles. $615, krigler.com
Parfums de Marly Valaya
During the 18th century, women wore dresses with several layers of petticoats and the one closest to their skin was called “le secret.” That’s the inspiration behind Valaya, which represents the meeting of delicate fabric on bare skin, resulting in a delicate yet sensual feminine scent. That effect is achieved with the lightness of orange blossom and mandarin, melded with noble wood and vanilla, with a base of musk and ambrofix. $355, parfums-de-marly.com
Tom Ford Cherry Smoke
Fans of Lost Cherry rejoice: Tom Ford just added not one, but two more cherry fragrances. Cherry Smoke is an even deeper take on the sweet fruit. The scent of dark cherry mingles with saffron, apricot, olive and leather, with a precious smoked wood accord. Then there’s Electric Cherry, a brighter spin on the fruit with morello cherry notes, ginger, jasmine sambac and spicy pink peppercorn. $250, tomford.com
Boy Smells LES Eau de Parfum
Named for the New York City neighborhood it was inspired by, the genderful perfume captures all the nuances and noises of the Lower East Side. Peony blossoms and cardamom symbolize the opposing scents of Orchard Street, while cedarwood smoke and warm vanilla absolute recreate the feeling of hot leather seats sticking to your thighs. Then there’s the pomelo note for local product stands. $98, sephora.com
Arquiste Indigo Smoke
Monks in the Wuyi Mountains in Fujian had grown tea and indigo plants in terraced plantations for centuries. In 1646, their monasteries were attacked by Qing soldiers, forcing them to flee. They smoked batches of tea leaves over pinewood fire to preserve their crops, which is how smoky lapsang souchong tea was born. Indigo Smoke captures that scent, mingled with fresh mountain air and incense from nearby shrines. French master perfumer Calice Becker created the juice, a blend of lapsang souchong tea, mandarin orange, apricot, guaiac wood, incense and pine tar. $205, arquiste.com
Maison Margiela Replica On A Date
True to its name, On A Date captures the sweet anticipation of a first date and falling in love. The warm floral looked to golden hour in the vineyards of Provence for inspiration, which is evident in the notes of fresh roses and grapes. To recreate that exact scene, the perfume was created by a collaboration between Master Perfumer Carlos Benaim and Master Sommelier Manuel Peyrondet. Black currant and patchouli rounds out the romantic elixir. $160, maisonmargiela-fragrances.us
Issey Miyake A Drop d’Issey Eau de Parfum Fraiche
The first thing that might strike you about this perfume is its bottle: The orb silhouette is filled with blue juice, reminiscent of a tiny pool. Take a whiff and you’ll see that’s just where the aquatic references start. Meant to evoke rain in the springtime, the drop-shaped bottle is the perfect home for it. Perfumer Ane Ayo recreated the scent of dewdrops on petals and leaves with a top note of a rain accord, a heart of lilac accord with notes of damas rose, and a sandalwood and cedar base. $118, macys.com

D.S. & Durga Pistachio
Leave it to indie perfumer D.S. & Durga to be tongue in cheek and list the notes of their new scent, Pistachio, as “pistachio, more pistachio and even more pistachio.” That pretty much sums up this gourmand, but to oversimplify it doesn’t do it justice. Think of the green nut in dessert mode, alongside notes of cardamom, roasted almond and vanilla crème and you have a genderless scent that is truly good enough to eat. $280, dsanddurga.com
